Bonus Workout for Core Conditioning Blog Readers!

I’m going to start posting a monthly workout for my blog readers.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or come to a class to learn the exercises I am posting!

 

January Bonus Workout for Readers

 

Warm up for 5 minutes

Joint Mobility/Dynamic Stretches for 5 mins.

Jog or run on treadmill or outside, or do jumping jacks for 5 mins

Do the following:

1. Frog Hops (or bottom half of a squat)

2. Push ups (can be done with hands on a picnic table to reduce intensity or avoid touching the ground)

3. Alternating Lunge (If done at home or gym, carry weights in your hands while doing your reps.  Remember to keep good posture, looking forward with a proud chest.)

4. Plank for a count of 10 Steam Boats

5. Crunches

Do each of the above 10 times.

Jog or run or jumping jacks for 5 more minutes

Repeat set for 20 reps

Jog or run or jumping jacks for 5 mins

Repeat set for 30 reps

Jog or run or jumping jacks for 5 mins

Repeat set or jumping jacks for 40 reps

Jog or run for 5 mins

Cool down/walk

Static stretches
